ATN Spinnaker Sock
Hoisting a spinnaker is always a pleasure... but bringing it back on board can sometimes be a real handful! The ATN spinnaker sock makes hoisting and dousing your spinnaker easier and safer.
Made from highly abrasion-resistant mesh fabric, it is designed for reliable, long-lasting use. The control ring is separated from the sail to minimize friction and prevent tangles during operation.
The base of the sock, which encloses the spinnaker, is made of polyester for lengths up to 11.50 meters. For longer sizes, rigid foam is used to prevent impact damage at the masthead.
Which length should you choose?
The sock is available in any length up to 40 meters.
For a symmetrical spinnaker, the recommended length is:
leech length + 35 cm
For an asymmetrical spinnaker—even though the luff is longer than the leech—it is recommended to choose a sock length based on:
leech length + 35 cm
This length prevents the clew from retracting too far into the sock during dousing.
