Custom Spinnaker Sock
Our spinnaker sock is made to order and tailored to the length of your spinnaker. It is suitable for both symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnakers.
The sock length is calculated based on your boat's specifications or determined by your spinnaker's leech length.
Construction
The sock is made from abrasion-resistant 115 g/m² polyester mesh fabric.
The control line runs through a sleeve separate from the sail to minimize friction and prevent tangling.
The spinnaker attaches to the halyard via a reinforced strap measuring approximately 35 cm.
Base tailored to your spinnaker
The base that gathers the spinnaker is made of polyester. It is available in three sizes, selected based on the spinnaker's sail area and the sock's length:
450 × 200 mm: for spinnakers under 90 m²;
520 × 320 mm: for spinnakers between 90 and 150 m²;
620 × 350 mm: for spinnakers over 150 m².
Tailored length
The sock is manufactured to the length best suited to your spinnaker.
For a symmetrical spinnaker, the sock length roughly corresponds to the leech length, plus approximately 35 cm for the strap connecting the spinnaker to the halyard.
For an asymmetrical spinnaker—even though the luff is generally longer than the leech—the sock length is calculated based on the leech length to prevent the sail from retracting too deeply into the sock.
Lengths calculated based on the boat model are estimates. For a perfect fit, it is best to measure the spinnaker's actual leech length. Colors
